Tonight, I needed some throttle therapy, so I went to a local bike night, one that I used to attend almost every week.
Before tonight, it had been almost a year since I attended one of the bike nights. The last one I went to had an almost unbelievable number of bikes and a full parking lot besides.
As I approached the lot, I could see cars everywhere, not an opening parking spot in sight, always a good sign in my book. I round the corner in the lot to get to motorcycle parking, which had always been bar to bar before, wide open, only about 20 bikes at the whole event.
Dismounting my bike, I watched a man leave the event, clad head to toe in Harley Davidson branded apperal, get into an Impala and drive away.
This leaves me flabbergasted personally, why pay to advertise a brand on your shirt when you could be on one of their bikes, actually enjoying the machine rather than a manufacted lifestyle.
Owning a motorcycle doesn't make you a motorcyclist, riding it does.

The Beginning of the Journey
This first post will hopefully start a long journey of my motoblog but first, a little about me...
My name's Nick, I've been involved with motorcycles most of my life, wrenching and riding, off-road and on-road, cruisers and sport bikes. I work in the motorcycle industry and love every minute of what I do.
As of today I document that travels that my life takes me through, the two (and sometimes three) wheels taking me through all of it.
I'll review the occasional bike, maybe some gear, and always the ride.
